Two Spectator Safety qualifications. Both competence-based, both assessed at real events.

The two qualifications
Two levels, both competence-based. You are assessed on what you can do at real events, through a portfolio of evidence rather than a written exam.
For stewards
Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety
For stewards working match days and events. Covers preparing for events, moving spectators, managing crowd issues, resolving conflict and dealing with incidents.
See what it coversFor supervisors
Level 3 Certificate in Spectator Safety Supervision
For stewards stepping up to supervise. Covers preparing stewards and venues, running the areas you are responsible for, and handling information for decision-making.
See what it coversHow you are assessed
Rather than sitting an exam, you build a portfolio of evidence at work. Your assessor watches you steward, asks you about the decisions you made, and gathers the evidence with you.
The finished portfolio is internally assessed and then externally quality assured. Simulation is used only where a real work environment cannot produce the evidence.
Not sure which level?
