What the qualification asks of you, and how your evidence is judged.

You are assessed in the workplace

These are competence-based qualifications. You prove what you can do at real events.

  1. Choose your level

Level 2 is the entry qualification for stewards. Level 3 is for supervisory roles.

  2. Register and meet your assessor

You get an evidence log, a plan for what you need to show, and the assessor who marks your work.

  3. Build your portfolio

Evidence comes from real events. A work placement runs throughout the qualification, before certification.

  4. Certification

Your portfolio is internally assessed, then externally quality assured.

How your evidence is judged

Your assessor marks the portfolio against what the qualification requires. That marking is checked internally, and then externally quality assured.

There is no written exam and no pass mark to revise for. Either the evidence shows you can do the thing, or it does not show it yet, in which case you gather more.

Also required before certification.

The ACT eLearning counter-terrorism training, which is free from GOV.UK, and a recognised first aid award.
