Stage 1 Appeals Log
Start a Stage 1 appeal against an assessment decision. This is the first of the three stages in the appeals policy.
You have 5 working days. A Stage 1 appeal must be raised within 5 working days of receiving the disputed assessment decision. Your assessor then has 5 working days to respond. If you are outside that window, call 01753 247705 before you send anything.
What this form is
This is the first half of form GKTC-FORM-02, the Stage 1 Appeals Log named in the assessment appeals policy. It asks for your details and your grounds for appeal, which are the two parts of the form that belong to you.
The rest of GKTC-FORM-02 is completed by the centre: your assessor records their review findings and the outcome, and the Internal Quality Assurer countersigns if the appeal is escalated. You do not fill those in.
Sending this starts your Stage 1 appeal and records the date it was raised.
Appealing, not complaining. This form is for a decision made about your work. If your concern is about how the centre ran something, use the complaints policy instead.
